The Long Island Roller Rebels are proudly a part of the

Women's Flat Track Derby Association. With over 80 member leagues, the sport of Women's Flat Track Derby has grown exponentially in a short period of time. Founded in 2004, WFTDA promotes and fosters the sport of Women's Flat Track Derby by facilitating the development of athletic ability, sportswomanship, and goodwill among member leagues. The governing philosophy is "by the skaters, for the skaters". These all-female WFTDA skaters are the primary owners, managers, and operators of each member league, and of the association. With an organized governing body, the Roller Rebels plan on challenging other WFTDA member leagues, and improving their rankings on a national level.
