The Long Island Roller Rebels enter their SEVENTH season on Saturday February 11th 2011! The Roller Rebels held their first ever bout on February 18th 2006, titled a St. Valentine's Day Massacre. To commemorate this celebratory event, we will be giving our first 100 fans chocolate lollipops!
Veteran skaters and our brand spanking new 2012 Rookies, will split into two teams, Pink vs. Black, in a fast paced, hard hitting, derby packed action bout that our fans love! Doors will open at 6pm, NOTE NEW START TIME, and introductions will start promptly at 7pm. Be sure to stick around as the New York Shock Exchange will follow featuring there two home teams, the Union Squares vs. The Coney Island Freakshow.
Several familiar "busts" of the Long Island Roller Rebels; Breakneck Brie, Captain Morgan, Celtic Thunder, C-Roll, Cyanide Kisses, Lady Florence Fightin' Gal, Trinity, and Veloce Villain, were casted and painted and will be up for Chinese auction during this event. The Proceeds will go to the Keep-A-Breast Foundation, http://www.keep-a-breast.org, which raises awareness and promotion about breast health.
So be sure to arrive early, bring a chair, grab a Beer, served by our friendly local sponsors, the Long Ireland Brewery, and a raffle ticket to support the Keep-A-Breast Foundation and be sure not to miss some serious hard hitting flat track roller derby!
